Perspective on South Africa

The pundits of the world have come to South Africa and expounded on the nation with a wide range of perspective.  Each person’s background and expectations colored what they saw and reported.

It is time then to explore God’s perspective on the nation.  While Arthur is no master of South African history, he does bring an understanding of God’s principles for nations and of the tools we can use to partner with God in His plans for a nation.  Some of the questions that could be explored are:

TIME

-                      Why was the southern part of the continent populated so late in history?

-                      Why did God bring John G. Lake 100 years ago?

-                      Why did God bring the World Cup now?

-                      Why are the Khoi finally being recognized and restored at this time?

-                      How can we synchronize with God’s time line for the nation?

PEOPLE GROUPS

-                      Why did God bring the San tribe here, and why are they ignored in most histories?

-                      What do the Khoi carry that was essential for the nation’s foundation?

-                      Why did the Portuguese do so little here?

-                      Why did God bring the Dutch to make such a big deposit here?

-                      Why did God allow the Dutch to sell South Africa to the English?

-                      Why is God giving the Zulu tribe preeminence now?

-                      How should South Africa relate to Zimbabwe and other nations?

-                      Which people group holds the key to South Africa’s future?

SPIRITUAL CLIMATE

-                      What are the residual spiritual effects of the sins of each previous people group and government?

-                      How can a small number of people affect the spiritual climate of a nation when the civil and religious leadership is not on board?

-                      Which of the seven heads of Leviathan are operating here?

-                      What would a redeemed and restored South Africa look like in God’s eyes?

-                      Why is jealousy so rampant in the church and what can be done about it?

STRATEGY

-                      What is the key for making sustained progress in transformation?

-                      What resources are available to us that are not being accessed?

-                      What are the spiritual implications of the mineral wealth in the nation?

-                      How does being in the Mercy season affect our strategy?

-                      What is unique about South Africa among all the Giver nations in the world?

My personal view is that everybody in South Africa should have a Godly perspective on South Africa.

I am not aware of anyone who is better equipped to present this course than Arthur Burk.

I can almost not wait for this one!
